Money Saving Driving Lesson Information
Driving lessons are something that nearly everybody will need at some point or another, but all too often they are expensive and sometimes even low quality.
Here is a bit of what I have heard and experienced about lessons and costs and quality etc. etc.
Buy cheap, buy twice, as the old saying goes! But that saying can be true to different extents. For example, a cheap driving instructor may be cheap for a number of reasons. Is he or she really cheap because they are brand new with no experience, and are therfore looking to practice and build up their customer base with you, a paying customer?
On the other hand, are they cheap because business is so fierce in their area and they need to cut prices to feed their family? Maybe it is because they are good that they need the work! Potentially a very good pass rate has resulted in the need to get more pupils to replace the ones that have passed so quickly.
Equally, a driving instructor who is able to keep their business going while charging higher than average prices, will often (but not always) mean that they are good, basically because they have not needed to drop their prices to compete, rather, they have relied upon their reputation to carry them through a recession.
Either way, I would much rather be taught by an average driving instructor who is teaching 5 hours a day, than a so called good instructor who is teaching 10 hours a day! Mainly because I do not like the idea of being taught to drive by an exhausted owner of a driving school!
My number one tip, without a doubt, would be to ask someone who has recently learned to drive and who would recommend their driving instructor for lessons. Failing that, when you contact a trainer, try to get recommendations from them, who you can contact.
